If you recently made a decision to accept Christ, you may be wondering just what it means for you. 52 Amazing Things That Became True of You the Moment You Trusted Christ by Stephen Kuhn explains with Scriptures verses and down-to-earth prose how to understand what that decision has meant for you.

52 Amazing Things has 52 short readings with 52 Bible verses that are unpacked to meditate on and relate to your own life so you can better understand the truths of Scripture related to your salvation. A few of the topics in this book include: You Have Been Washed Clean, You Have Been Set Free From Fear, You Became a Citizen of Heaven, and You Have a Secure Future. Kuhn stresses that our feelings may not feel that these things are true but Scripture says that they are. My word for 2017 is Delight so I especially liked the reading called, You Are Delighted in by God. It has taken me many years to understand that that is truth. While this would be a great book to give a new Christian to help get them off on a good start and answer any questions that they may have, it would also be good for a more mature Christian to reflect on. I also think this book would relate well with teenagers and young adults. I would further add that while I think it is a good book for anyone to read, his examples make this especially good for a man to read. My fifteen year old son could relate to some of the examples from movies and stories that Kuhn shared better than I could relate to them. However, his writing is easy to read and to understand so I could get the meaning of the reading without having seen the movies or read the books that he uses for examples in 52 Amazing Things.

The 5-Minute Bedtime Treasury by Hannah C. Hall is a beautifully illustrated children's book with some fun rhyming stories inside it. Measuring roughly 8 1/4 inches square it is a fun size to read in bed together. This story book is aimed at pre-school children up to age 4. There is one story that talks about going to school so kindergarten children may enjoy it as well. There are six stories in the 5-Minute Bedtime Treasury.  God Bless You and Good Night God Bless My Friends God Bless My School God Bless My Family God Bless My Home All of these stories are illustrated by Steve Whitlow with what I would call softly-vibrant pictures. The pictures look soft and warm and yet are vibrant in color. I think they are just gorgeous and well liked by children.
