The Sparkle Effect by Kristen Dalton Wolfe

Former Miss USA Kristen Dalton Wolfe knows what it takes to win and to be successful in something you have worked hard for. However while winning and success is great, she says real lasting joy and confidence come from living as a daughter of the king and shining with your purpose.  In The Sparkle Effect, Wolfe shares how we can all sparkle with God's radiance and our true identity, so we can rise to every occasion we need to in this life.

The Sparkle Effect has 31 chapters in which Wolfe shares different areas we can sparkle in: Decisiveness, Resilience, Healing, Thankfulness, Right Motives, Teachability and Peace. Each chapter starts with a quote and then ends with a prayer to pray and several Bible verses to meditate on. All of the chapters offer solid advice on each topic. Each chapter is also backed up with interesting stories from Wolfe's life as well as stories from the Bible. I enjoyed the whole book but my three most favorite chapters would be those about "Queen" speech, purity and influence.

The Sparkle Effect is a thorough book offering solid advice for living a life that will not only please God, but will be the most authentic and best life for the reader. I think this book would be especially good for younger women to read as there is a lot of material in the book that is encouraging to live a better life and the sooner you started putting it into practice the better. Wolfe shares from her heart both her experiences where she excelled and experiences that she hopes you learn from instead of making her mistakes. The Sparkle Effect would be a good book to read in small chunks to better learn and absorb all of the material. It would also make a good book for a study either in a group, with a friend or on your own. I highly recommend it.
