Inspire Bible for Kids from Tyndale House Publishers

Image
Tyndale House Publishers has had Inspire Bibles available since 2016. I bought one early on as I like to journal and art journal so this Bible was up my alley. I would have loved the Inspire Bible for Kids if it had been available when I was growing up as I loved to draw and color, besides growing up going to church and Sunday School.  The Inspire Bible for Kids is aimed at children ages seven to twelve.  Whether on their own or together with family, Inspire Bible for Kids invites children to meaningfully engage with each other and God’s Word. This Bible contains the full text of the New Living Translation and so much more to help boys and girls learn from the Bible and bring it to life. Inside this Bible, it has wide margins for taking notes, journaling and for coloring in over 400 ready-to-color line-art illustrations that are in the margins, throughout the Bible and on the end papers.   It also has all of these features:  300+ devotional readings and trivi...

NIV New Adventure Bible and Aventure Bible Guide

Image
The Adventure Bible and Adventure Bible Guide help bring the Bible to life for kids. The Bible is in the NIV version and has the full text. It could really be enjoyed by someone of any age. However the side bars do target children. This Bible was my son's favorite Bible growing up and now they have updated it and added the guide to go with it--which I think is truly helpful. It is full of helpful Bible information in a bright, vibrant way that is also in bite-sized chunks for better understanding. I also like that they added the Adventure Bible Guide as a companion to the Bible as the kids can learn so much from both. I think they would make a great gift--maybe even an Easter gift, since it is coming up. Adventure Bible Guide: Explore the Stories, People and Places of Every Book in the Bible – an ideal companion to the NIV Adventure Bible:   Explore the Bible like never before! This companion to the bestselling Adventure Bible gives young readers the key detail...

The Action Bible: Faith in Action edition by Sergio Cariello from David C Cook

Image
The Action Bible: Faith in Action edition by Sergio Cariello from David C Cook is a vibrantly illustrated Bible aimed at the nine to eleven year old age range--but I think it will catch readers both older and younger.  The Action Bible: Faith in Action edition is illustrated with bright vibrant comic book style illustrations. I brings the Bible to life for this age group and you can feel the energy leaping off of the pages, in my opinion. There are 230 spiritually-transformative Bible stories . A Faith in Action Badge corresponds with each story with one of seven biblical attributes: courage, faith, hope, love, service, trust, and wisdom.  Along with the print book, there are discoverable QR codes throughout the text, which can be used to further bring the Bible to life and learn more. This engaging on-line content include s videos, games, digital Scripture index, prayers, Bible facts, devotions, playlists, reading plans, interactive maps, Bible study sessions, and m...

NIrV Journal the Word Bible for Girls from Zondervan

Image
Do you know a young girl who might like a Bible to journal in? The NIrV Journal the Word Bible for Girls is aimed at ages six to ten. This Bible has a beautifully illustrated hard cover with lined side margins for taking notes, drawing, coloring, or doodling. There are 100 verses for tracing to help with print and cursive penmanship and Scripture memorization. It both encourages creativity and it also works to help young girls learn better penmanship. While this Bible is directed at young girls, it is a nice Bible for almost any girl or even an older woman. I would use this Bible myself. It is just the Bible text and that text is a very readable 8.5 print size that is quite dark and easy to see on the page. I like the lined margins as there is a lot of space to take notes to to use this Bible for Bible art journaling. The pages are fairly thin so I would use colored pencils or pens that do not bleed through the paper for whatever I wanted to do in the margins. This Bible is also ...

NASB Adventure Bible for Kids from Zonderkidz Bibles

Image
My son had an Adventure Bible he used for many years. As the cover says, it is the number one selling Bible for kids. Now, this Bible is available in the New American Standard Bible (NASB) version for those who would prefer that version. This Bible will get them excited about God’s Word with all of the colorful pictures, charts, highlighted verses to memorize, articles about living in Bible times, amazing Bible facts, and other activities throughout the Bible. This Bible comes in hardcover, as shown, or in a leathersoft edition. It is also red-letter and has a dark comfort print typeface in 9.5-point print size. This is a great Bible for kids to take to church, Sunday school or other youth Bible study classes and to just read and peruse at home. In the front cover, there is a presentation page, a page sharing how to use the Bible and a page with the ABCs of being a Christian. The Adventure Bible is aimed at children ages 8 to 12. My son really liked this Bible and spent time read...

NIV Beautiful Word Coloring Bible for Girls Gift Set from Zonderkidz

Image
The Beautiful Word Coloring Bible for Girls Gift Set would be a wonderful gift for any young woman in the eight to twelve-year-old age range. This Bible is not only pretty but it comes with 4 colored pencils and six sticker sheets in the gift set, which is also beautifully boxed.     This Bible has thick white paper that is designed to be used for writing or drawing with wide, lined margins for notes and reflections. The print is dark and an easy-to-read Comfort Print typeface that is 8-point type. This Bible also lays flat when opened fully. Some of the pages have lines in the margin and others have Scripture picture verses to color. There are also some pretty full page pictures to color. I think any colored pencils would be fine for this Bible. I have not tried pens or markers but they may be okay to use without bleed through if you test a small corner since the pages are fairly thick. The Beautiful Word Coloring Bible for Girls measures 8.25...

Psalms for Little Hearts written by Dandi Daly Mackall Illustrated by Cee Biscoe

Image
Psalms for Little Hearts introduces children to the psalms and what they can mean to us as children of God. Dandi Daley Mackall writes modern psalms based on the Bible so children can understand them and relate to them understand that God's word is written for them. There are 25 psalms in Psalms for Little Hearts targeting children ages 8 to 12. Although I think children as young as five would find value in this book with others reading it with them. All of the psalms are all labeled with what the message of each one is: God's Beautiful World, God Gives Me Joy (when I feel sad), God Fights for Me! (when they are the underdog), Give Thanks (teaching gratitude), and God Listens (for when hope is needed). These verses all rhyme and are ones that children could relate to. Then, at the end of each verse written by Mackall, she has a portion of the psalm from the New Living Translation of the Bible so readers can read the psalm she based her verses on. The illustrations of P...

Inspire for Girls from Tyndale House Publishers

Image
"Shine Brightly for Jesus!" it says on the cover of the overwrap on the new Inspire for Girls paperback Bible. As a young girl, I would have loved this Bible to put my creative spirit to work shining for Him. The Inspire Bible for Girls, paperback edition, is much nicer than I expected for a paperback. The cover is a firm, heavy paper and I like that it has a slip cover to protect it. I would think this Bible would stay quite nice over time with care and the protection of the slip cover. I was a little surprised when I received this Bible that it was a little smaller than I expected at 6 1/8" x 7 7/8." However, I think I would have liked that size quite well to carry back and forth to church as  young girl. I have the adult-sized version of the Inspire Bible that is larger but it isn't one I carry to church.   The Inspire Bible for Girls is a pretty, feminine pink and teal color that I especially like. Not only is the outside pretty, but the i...

Image
The Great and Small Bible is truly a gorgeous little keepsake for Babies. It would make a precious Baby gift for any little one. The Great and Small Bible has several pages of inserts where you can write little notes for your baby that include: Baby's date of arrival and how you found out you were expecting, Baby's measurements and features; family tree information, your baby's favorite things; hopes, prayer and a special verse for your baby; and some of your baby's firsts. The illustrations are of various baby zoo animals and are so sweet. The Bible measures about about 6 1/2 inches by 4 /2 inches. It also contains the words of Christ in red and includes a presentation page in the front. This little Bible would make a truly wonderful baby gift. It comes in a box ready to wrap and present to the new little one. I highly recommend The Great and Small Bible . I received this Bible from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review.

Are you a Christian parent trying to teach your child(ren) how to pray? The Prayer Bible for Children is designed to help you give your children a heart for prayer and learning the Bible together. The Prayer Bible for Children uses the ICB translation. This translation is created especially for children. The Big Picture Interactive Bible from BH Kids

Image
The Big picture Interactive Bible is touted on the cover as a Bible that will "Bring the Bible to Life for Kids." Indeed it is a beautiful, bright, vibrant looking Bible.  The Big Picture Interactive Bible comes with access to a free app to download to use along with the Bible to see the illustrations in the Bible come alive. The app was simple for me to find and download on my Ipad. It was also fairly easy to use with no previous experience. Along with the learning portions of the Bible app, there is also a game portion to make learning a little more fun and challenging.  This Big Picture Interactive Bible also includes a lot of special features. First of all, I would also add that this Bible has very nice dark print although it is not real large. I also like that it is a red letter Bible. I couldn't find out the type size but I am guessing it is 8 point. Also, this Bible uses the Christian Standard Bible translation. This history of ...
