The Awesome Super Fantastic Forever Party :Heaven with Jesus is Amazing! (Board Book) by Joni Eareckson Tada Illustrated by Catalina Echeverri

Sometimes little children hear grown-ups talking about Heaven and they wonder what that is all about. Or maybe they have never heard about Heaven. Either way, The Awesome Super Fantastic Forever Party by Joni Eareckson Tada shares some basic ideas of what heaven is all about. The Awesome Super Fantastic Forever Party uses simple language and illustrations to convey to children that Heaven will be something to look forward to and how wonderful heaven will be, based on the Bible.   This book could answer some questions about Heaven but it could also create more discussion about Heaven. This small board book is a good size to read to toddlers and is also small and sturdy for them to look at on their own. It would be a good book in baby's own little library.   I received a copy of this book from The Good Book Company. All opinions within this review are my own.

Wherever you go, I want you to know by Melissa Kruger and illustrated by Isobel Lundie

Encouraging children to dream about what they will one day do in life, is part of nurturing them to become who God made them to be. Wherever you go, I want you to Know by Melissa Kruger is a fun children's book that helps kids see the biggest thing God wants for us. Wherever You Go, I Want You to Know is also a fun book to read aloud with the whole family. The rhyming and rhythm of this book is wonderful--words just roll off of your tongue in perfect cadence. It also covers quite a variety of occupations that children might do one day from becoming a chef or a farmer to being a teacher or a doctor. I like how she reminds children that the most important thing that they can do is follow Jesus along with whatever else they choose to do in life. It is a fun book with a solid Christian message. At the same time, it comes across as naturally a part of life and isn't preachy at all. And the accompanying art on the pages is so vibrant and cute. It all works together to create a book ...

The Gift That I Can Give by Kathie Lee Gifford

God gives each of us, as his unique creations, special gifts when we are born. The Gift That I Can Give by Kathie Lee Gifford is designed to help children think about what ways they can love and encourage others through their unique gifts. I love the cover with the girl surrounded by butterflies and the gorgeous illustrations inside The Gift That I Can Give . This book has a few illustrations with fall leaves in shades of oranges and yellows that makes it especially fun to read this time of year--although I think it can be a hit with kids year around. I love that the children in the pictures are a variety of colors in their skins too, like real children are, so I like that it reflects the multi-cultural world we live in.  I also like the rhyming prose with the uplifting, positive message that Kathie Lee Gifford gives to children. The Gift That I Can Give is so fun and uplifting with a good Christian message that doesn't come off as preachy. We have read it a few times at our...
