Warfare Prayers by Quin Sherrer and Ruthanne Garlock

Warfare Prayers for Women: Securing God's Victory in Your Life by Quin Sherrer and Ruthanne Garlock is a beautiful colorful book packed with prayers for all sort of occasions based on Scripture.

Warfare Prayers for Women starts out with a brief introduction and is then divided in to eleven parts: Praying with Power, Praying against Hindrances, Praying for Life's Milestones, Praying for Children and Grandchildren, Praying for Family and Friends, Praying When Single, Praying through Tough Times, Praying in My Senior Years, Praying for My Community and Nation, Important Prayer Helps, and Scriptures for Intercession and Warfare.

I like that Warfare Prayers for Women is a book that encourages women to pray based on Scripture. In the introduction, the authors make it clear that the most important thing is that we take time to pray each day and to be honest with God and not worry so much about the form of our prayers. We need to spend time praying to God, looking to Him and listening to Him most of all. I like the large variety of prayers in this book for women of all ages and in all sorts of situations. I like that the Bible verses are printed out right alongside the prayers to help me focus on both God and the Bible. I do also like that this book encourages prayer in so many aspects of life that we don't always remember to pray for, such as the entertainment industry, and also for special milestones in life, which reminds me that God cares about all aspects of our life. While Warfare Prayers for Women may lean towards those who are more charismatic in faith, it could be a useful book for all Christian women to use and adapt prayers to fit their situation specifically.

On the physical side, Warfare Prayers for Women is a beautiful 5 by 7 inch book that is easy to carry around although it is a fairly thick book. Each page is brightly-colored with short, easy-to-read prayers based on Scripture verses that are printed next to them that are also easily adapted in to your own wording.

I received this book from Chosen Books. All opinions within this review are my own.
