Uniquely by Joyce Meyer Illustrated by Marcin Piwowarski

We are all different and sometimes children have had feelings of comparison and not measuring up just like adults do. Uniquely You by Joyce Meyer and illustrated by Marcin Piwowarski is a beautifully illustrated and written book that reminds children that they are all created to be the special person that they are with their own unique gifts.

Uniquely You is a large 32-page book that measures about nine inches square. The intended audience is children 4 to 7 but it may reach children of a bit older age too. It would be great to read to your family or to a small crowd of Sunday School children. Both the illustrations and the text invite inclusiveness for children of differing abilities and races as well as having different likes and gifts. The words rhyme and the beautiful illustrations just echo the beautiful story in just the right way. Uniquely You would make a nice gift besides a book to read to either your own children or those you visit with. It is also a great reminder to the adults who may be reading the book with young children. Sometimes other people want to tell children that being different is a bad thing but I love that this book makes it something special.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions within this review are my own.
