The Confident Woman Journal from Joyce Meyer

 


Do you like to journal? If so, I believe Ellie Claire has some of the nicest journals available. The Confident Woman Journal from Joyce Meyer is no exception. It is simply gorgeous!

This journal is 160 pages and measures about 6 by 8 inches. The cover is flexible and feels like leather. There is a ribbon marker and it is nicely bound to hold up to regular use. The pages are nicely ruled with Joyce Meyer quotes on the edges. A few examples of quotes include: 

"Our worth is not found in being different or the same as others; it is found in God."

"If we do what we can do, God will always do what we cannot do."

"God works through our faith, not our fear."

There is also an introduction to the journal from Meyer where she explains how special women are to God and how the journal could be helpful to you. This journal is especially nice for Joyce Meyer fans but it could be a special journal for any Christian woman to use.

His mother,  Gretna, who lives in a nearby retirement complex also seems to be a bit grumpy in personality. Then Gretna adopts Thurman. Thurman is a rescued black lab mix that Gretna sees on a TV ad and decides to adopt him. Only after she adopts Thurman, she finds out she is not allowed to have pets at the complex, so she talks Wilson into taking Thurman. I don't want to give any of the plot away. However, I would say that I found The Dog That Whispered to be a pleasant read. I appropriately read this book over Memorial Day weekend and I gained insight into what war veterans may face in their minds when they return to the United States. I also appreciated how the author helped bring faith into the character's lives and helped them see the healing grace of God. Together, they are called The Shippers, and they are the matchmakers on the ship. Lacey Anderson is the ship's hostess and Jonathan King is the Cruise director of the ship. Lacey and Jonathan knew each other from another ship. Sparks fly but there are some complications that seem to be difficult to overcome--but The Shippers are a determined group of ladies. At the same time, there is a mystery of who is smuggling cocaine on the cruise line. Are they on this ship? Love Overboard offers a mix of romance, humor, and mystery to the reader. Book Review: The Story Keeper by Lisa Wingate

I was thrilled to be part of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Books this year. . I am a members of Circle 17. . .a group of 5 sisters who committed to reading Lisa Wingate's book, The Story Keeper, and sharing our thoughts with one another. . .a traveling book group. I loved this idea and was truly tickled to get to read an advance copy and partake in all of the fun. I also received a pretty notebook from the sister before me to keep my stories in. First of all, I need to share that this year God has had a running theme in my life that "my story matters." It has shown up in my art journal class, in an on-line Bible study, I received a "Your Story Matters" necklace for Mother's Day from my hubby who is my greatest encourager and then I received my chance to read, The Story Keeper.
