Young Women Love God Greatly Bible from Thomas Nelson

If you are a young woman or are looking for a Bible for a young woman, I would encourage you to consider this Bible. The Young Women Love God Greatly Bible from Thomas Nelson is a Bible with a WHOLE LOT of study helps included.

As the back cover says, The Young Women Love God Greatly Bible uses the SOAP Bible study framework--Scripture, Observation, Application and Prayer. There are 50 reading plans for reading through Scripture using this method. There are also topical reading plans about life's issues, such as fear and anxiety and friendship. This Bible combines devotions, profile of Biblical and historical people, other women's personal testimonies from all over the world, and letters from mentors to guide you when faced with a challenge. Women who made a difference for God's kingdom throughout history are highlighted throughout the Bible.

The Bible is fairly heavy at about 4 pounds so it isn't one you likely want to carry to church or Bible study, rather is is one to use regularly at home as you study on your own. This book uses 9.5 point Comfort print so it is easier to read--something I particularly like. There are also ten maps, ten timelines and ten info-graphics that help make the Scriptures clearer to the reader. There are two ribbon markers, which are helpful for keeping track of places that you want to refer back to. I like the pretty verses, lightly illustrated throughout the Bible. I also like the wide margins for taking notes and writing--although they aren't ruled. It is not red-letter. However, the print is a mix of black and teal green throughout the book. This is really an in-depth study Bible aimed right at young women, ages 13 to 18. I think it is nice to see a Bible especially for that age group--with all of these helps included.

I received a copy of this Bible through Bible Gateway. All opinions within this review are my own. #BibleGatewayPartner
