NIV Application Bible from Zondervan

 


 

The new NIV Application Study Bible is a study Bible that I find jam-packed full of information. I often read the NIV version so that part isn’t new to me. However, this Bible is unique as it has notes drawn from the NIV Application Commentary. This Bible is designed to help you understand ancient Scripture and apply it to your life today. I think that would be helpful for many of us. 




This study Bible shares insights from trusted scholars along with timely Biblical application principles.
 


This NIV Application Study Bible is full of notes alongside the NIV text with Jesus words in red letter. (I always like red letter Bibles!) There are book introductions, Bible character profile articles, more than 50 in-text charts, 16-pages of maps, a dictionary-concordance, 2 satin ribbon markers and easy to read 9.5 print. It really is easy to read this print. I don't need to use my reading glasses. It is dark. The pages are thin like many Bibles and the margins are narrow if you want to take your own notes inside a Bible. For this Bible, I find it easy to journal or write in another notebook instead of this Bible. 

There is also additional content in a free NIV Bible App that goes along with the hard copy of the Bible.
 

I am finding all of the extras that are included with this Bible to be interesting to learn from. This Bible could make a nice gift for the right person too.

Loyally Luke by Pepper Basham

  Loyally, Luke by Pepper Basham is the third book in the epistolary series following Authentically, Izzy and Positively, Penelope.I have been anxiously awaiting this book and pretty much squealed when it came in the mail! Luke Edgewood is a guy who works in the construction industry and has remodeling skills. He wears flannel and he likes his dogs and he likes his sisters--but he isn't romantic like they are. Or so he says.In Loyally, Luke, Luke goes to Skymar to work a construction job on a orphanage that happens to be in a castle. He also has a run-in with a Princess as he comes in to the country with a migraine in desparate need of coffee--so yeah, that didn't go so well. Book Review: The Story Keeper by Lisa Wingate

I was thrilled to be part of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Books this year. . I am a members of Circle 17. . .a group of 5 sisters who committed to reading Lisa Wingate's book, The Story Keeper, and sharing our thoughts with one another. . .a traveling book group. I loved this idea and was truly tickled to get to read an advance copy and partake in all of the fun. I also received a pretty notebook from the sister before me to keep my stories in. First of all, I need to share that this year God has had a running theme in my life that "my story matters." It has shown up in my art journal class, in an on-line Bible study, I received a "Your Story Matters" necklace for Mother's Day from my hubby who is my greatest encourager and then I received my chance to read, The Story Keeper.
