I like to both journal and art journal in a Bible while reading. I was hoping to do a new page in this Bible but things have been a little crazy as my MIL is moving and needs help. In any case, this Bible is beautiful for journaling in. The pages are thin, like most Bibles. I would test any markers in an out of the way place before using them. I like to use colored pencils and those usually aren't a problem, but you still may want to test in a corner.
